The Cybercrime Sector, in cooperation with the Prosecutor’s Office of Tirana, has for three days started the investigation regarding the virtual crime in the intervention that was made in e-Albania.
It is suspected of two attacks that are suspected to have come from abroad, reports journalist Dorjana Bezat. IT experts from abroad have been brought in to assist the investigations.
It is still not documented what virus was used, but there are two synchronized attacks that damaged the e-Albania portal.
Currently, the servers of the 1,100 services that have been activated are being verified to see if there have been data deletions or changes. About 100 servers are also under verification, for which the risk is still potential. There are over 100 services that are still closed.
As of yesterday, 1118 out of 1225 electronic services have been returned for use by citizens. According to e-Albania, documents with an electronic seal, civil status certificates, tax certificates, extracts and business registration certificates, unemployment certificates, judicial status certificates are already received from the digital platform.
