The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
If you suspect you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 2396 tests were performed, of which 301 citizens tested positive with COVID19, in the following municipalities:
101 in Tirana, out of 20 citizens in Fier, Vlora, out of 14 citizens in Durrës, Lushnje, 11 in Elbasan, 10 in Berat, 9 in Gjirokastra, out of 8 citizens in Kamza, Kavaja, Mallakastra, Saranda, 7 in Vora, out of 6 citizens in Përmet, Tepelena, from 5 citizens in Selenica, Kruja, from 4 citizens in Tropoja, Dibra, from 3 citizens in Dimal, Korca, Shkodra, from 2 citizens in Mirdita, Kurbin, Shijak, Mat, Gramsh, from 1 citizen in Skrapar, Devoll, Pogradec, Memaliaj, Këlcyrë, Finiq, Divjakë, Patos, Roskovec, Lezhë, Has, Kukës, Pukë, Vau i Dejës.
There are 5474 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently 125 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 11 are in a more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 4 life losses with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Tirana 67 years old, a citizen from Divjaka 78 years old, a citizen from Berat 84 years old, a citizen from Durrës 85 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
463 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 196,298 since the beginning of the epidemic.
