The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announces that in the last 24 hours, 228 citizens were tested positive with covid-19, and five other patients lost their lives. Thus the number of infected since the beginning of the pandemic has gone to 205,777, while that of the victims to 3,166.
In the last 24 hours, 2370 tests were performed, of which 228 citizens tested positive for COVID19, in the following municipalities: 87 in Tirana, 23 in Vlora, 12 in Durrës, from 10 citizens in Fier, Berat, from 8 citizens in Shkodër, Lushnje, 6 in Elbasan, from 5 citizens in Kamëz, Gjirokastër, Kuçovë, from 4 citizens in Mirditë, Kurbin, from 3 citizens in Saranda, Patos, Kruja, Lezha, from 2 citizens in Tropoja, Vora, Divjakë, Përmet, Tepelena, Devoll, Gramsh, from 1 citizen in Librazhd, Dimal, Cerrik, Korçë, Memaliaj, Këlcyrë, Konispol, Mallakastër, Dibër, Rrogozhinë, Kavaja, Shijak, Kukës, Puka, Vau i Dejës.
There are 5235 active COVID19 patients nationwide. Currently in COVID hospitals are receiving treatment 144 patients, of whom 10 are in more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 5 lives lost with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Elbani 57 years old, two citizens from Tirana aged 59-75 years, a citizen from Fier 77 years old, a citizen from Durres 82 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
321 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 197,376 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
