The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announces that in the last 24 hours 168 citizens were tested positive with covid-19, and 7 patients lost their lives.
Thus the number of infected citizens since the beginning of the pandemic has gone to 207877, while that of the victims to 3201.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
If you suspect you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 2241 tests were performed, of which 168 citizens tested positive for COVID19, in the following municipalities:
83 in Tirana, 10 in Durrës, from 8 citizens in Fier, Lushnje, Vlora, Saranda, 6 in Gramsh, 5 in Përmet, from 3 citizens in Lezha, Vora, Mallakastër, Himara, from 2 citizens in Berat, Gjirokastër, Dibër, Kavaja, Kukës, from 1 citizen in Has, Tropojë, Mirditë, Kurbin, Divjakë, Delvinë, Tepelena, Memaliaj, Kolonjë, Skrapar.
There are 5,159 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently, 121 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 19 are in a more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 7 lives lost with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Tirana 55 years old, a citizen from Fier 58 years old, two citizens from Durrës aged 62-85 years, a citizen from Lushnja 65 years old, a citizen from Berat 66 years old, a citizen from Vlora 66 years old.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
131 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 199,517 since the beginning of the epidemic.
