The Ministry of Health and Social Protection announces that in the last 24 hours 309 citizens have been tested positive with covid, and two citizens have lost their lives. Thus the number of infected citizens since the beginning of the pandemic has written to 203,524, while that of the victims 3,132.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 2,706 tests were performed, of which were positive with COVID19, 309 citizens, in the following municipalities: 146 in Tirana, 31 in Fier, 9 in Vlora, 8 in Skrapar, Elbasan, 7 in Durrës, Kavaja, 6 in Mallakastër, Korçë, 5 in Kamëz, Delvinë, Gjirokastër, 4 in Kurbin, Krujë, Përmet, Tepelena, Kuçovë, Belsh, Gramsh, 3 in Tropojë, Selenica, Memaliaj, Devoll, 2 in Shkodër, Lezhë, Mirditë, Dibër, Lushnje, Himarë, Këlcyrë, Berat, 1 in Malësi e Madhe, Kukës, Shijak, Vora, Mat, Rroskovec, Saranda, Poliçan, Cërrik, Librazhd.
There are 5,554 active COVID19 patients nationwide. Currently 145 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 17 are in a more serious condition. 386 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 194,838 since the beginning of the epidemic.
Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 2 loss of life with SARS-COV2 positive; A citizen from Tirana 47 years old and a citizen from Kavaja 79 years old. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others. Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
