The Ministry of Health and Social Protection appeals to all citizens to implement the rules for the prevention of COVID19, put on a protective mask in any environment outside the home, avoid gatherings, maintain physical distance; take care of your personal hygiene and isolate yourself when you suspect you are affected by Covid19.

To date, 1242 antiCovid vaccinations have been performed and 7970 antivCOVID vaccinations have been performed since the beginning of vaccination.

In the last 24 hours, 3998 tests were performed and 1021 citizens tested positive. Confirmed positive cases were identified in the following municipalities: 571 cases in Tirana, 38 cases in Vlora, 37 cases in Durrës, Saranda, 35 cases in Elbasan, 33 cases in Shkodra, Librazhd, 21 cases in Lushnje, 18 cases in Kruja, Fier, 17 cases in Kavaja, 14 cases in Berat, Kuçova, 12 cases in Lezha, 11 cases in Tepelena, 10 cases in Kamza, 8 cases in Korça, Mirditë, Mallakastër, Gjirokastër, 7 cases in Kolonjë, 5 cases in Kukës, Has, Peqin, Gramsh, 3 cases in Devoll, Tropoja, Përmet, Dibër, Shijak, 2 cases in Rrogozhinë, Pogradec, Vau i Dejës, Divjakë, Selenica, Malësi e Madhe, Bulqiza, Skrapar, 1 case in Cërrik, Kurbin, Puka, Mat , Delvinë, Ura Vajgurore, Prrenjas, Patos, Këlcyrë.

In the last 24 hours 1085 citizens have been cured, bringing the number of cured to 65,403 since the beginning of the epidemic.

Today, the dedicated COVID ward was opened in the Regional Hospital of Elbasan, expanding with 3 regional hospitals the treatment of patients with COVID19, in addition to 4 COVID hospitals in Tirana. Currently, 648 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, 42 in intensive care, of which 15 patients are intubated.

Despite the efforts of the medical staff, 15 citizens lost the battle with COVID19: 7 citizens from Tirana, 2 citizens from Vlora, 2 citizens from Berat, 1 citizen from Fier, 1 citizen from Korça, 1 citizen from Librazhd, 1 citizen from Mati , aged 63-87 years. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased.
