The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over 16 years of age can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
If you suspect you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 4485 tests were performed, of which 708 citizens tested positive for COVID19, in the following municipalities:
362 in Tirana, 41 in Elbasan, 40 in Durrws, 21 in Saranda, 20 in Berat, out of 19 citizens in Korça, Vlora, Shkodra, 17 in Lushnje, 15 in Lezha, out of 12 citizens in Pogradec, Fier, Kamza, 9 in Gjirokastër, 7 in Vora, 6 citizens in Mallakastër, Tepelena, Kuçovë, 5 in Devoll, 4 citizens in Kolonjë, Permet, Himare, Divjakë, Patos, Kavaja, 3 citizens in Puka, Kukës, Peqin, Gramsh, Librazhd, 2 citizens in Skrapar, Dimal, Mat, Kurbin, Malwsi e Madhe, Vau i Dejës, 1 citizen in Has, Tropojë, Mireditë, Rrogozhinë, Diber, Delvinë, Libohovë, Dropull, Këlcyrë.
There are 6249 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently in COVID hospitals are receiving treatment 90 patients, of whom 10 are in more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 2 loss of life with SARS-COV2 positive: a citizen from Berat 35 years old, a citizen from Tirana 80 years old. The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
293 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 200,758 since the beginning of the epidemic.
