The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point. AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation. Vaccination with the third dose has also started for all citizens +18 years old who have passed 6 months from the second dose.
If you suspect you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your GP for testing or call the National Emergency number at unique 127.
We inform you about the situation in the last 24 hours, as follows: 5482 tests were performed, of which 617 citizens tested positive for COVID19, in the following municipalities:
312 in Tirana, 33 in Durrës, 29 in Elbasan, 24 in Fier, 23 in Saranda, 22 in Vlora, 15 in Berat, 13 in Lezha, out of 12 citizens in Shkodra, Lushnje, 10 in Gjirokastra, out of 8 citizens in Vau i Dejës, Kamëz, from 7 citizens in Kruja, Divjakë, from 6 citizens in Kavaja, Himara, from 5 citizens in Gramsh, Pogradec, Mallakastër, from 4 citizens in Korçë, Skrapar, from 3 citizens in Peqin, Devoll, Përmet, Vora, Kurbin, Malësi e Madhe, by 2 citizens in Has, Rrogozhinë, Dibër, Mat, Patos, Selenica, Konispol, Tepelena, Librazhd, by 1 citizen in Belsh, Dimal, Kolonjë, Dropull, Libohovë, Delvinë, Shijak, Mirditë, Tropojë, Kukës, Fushë Arrëz.
There are 5836 active COVID19 patients nationwide.
Currently 92 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 13 are in more serious condition. Despite the efforts of doctors, in the last 24 hours there are 3 life losses with SARS-COV2 positive: two citizens from Tirana aged 65-67 years, one citizen from Elbasan 75 years.
The Ministry of Health and Social Protection expressed its condolences to the families.
284 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 200,465 since the beginning of the epidemic.
