The Ministry of Health has announced that 5 patients have lost their lives from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours.
Despite the efforts of doctors, three citizens from Tirana aged 67-79, a citizen from Fier 77 years old, a citizen from Durrës 94 years old lost their lives.
Meanwhile, 5621 tests were performed, of which 1615 citizens tested positive with COVID19, in the following municipalities:
719 in Tirana, out of 65 citizens in Shkodra, Vlora, 62 in Berat, 57 in Lushnje, out of 53 citizens in Fier, Durres, 51 in Saranda, 47 in Gjirokastra, 32 in Elbasan, 31 in Kurbin, 26 in Pogradec, out of 20 citizens in Kuçova, Vora, 18 in Dimal, 17 in Korça, 16 in Kamza, 15 in Lezha, out of 14 citizens in Kavaja, Tepelena, 13 in Mirdita, out of 12 citizens in Vau i Dejes, Patos, Mallakastër, out of 11 citizens in Gramsh, Skrapar, Përmet, Konispol, Krujë, 9 in Devoll, from 8 citizens in Peqin, Memaliaj, Selenica, from 7 citizens in Divjaka, Delvinë, from 6 citizens in Poliçan, Malësi e Madhe, from 5 citizens in Shijak, Dibër, Mat, Kolonjë, from 4 citizens in Librazhd, Himarë, Has, Puka, from 3 citizens in Kukës, Këlcyrë, Prrenjas, from 2 citizens in Roskovec, Bulqizë, Tropojë, Fushë Arrëz, from 1 citizen in Klos, Libohovë, Maliq, Belsh .
There are 22,214 active COVID19 patients nationwide. Currently 125 patients are being treated in COVID hospitals, of which 7 are in more serious condition.
2564 citizens have been cured in the last 24 hours, bringing the number of cured to 230,193 since the beginning of the epidemic.
The Ministry of Health appeals to citizens to be vaccinated as soon as possible, to protect themselves and the health of others.
Any citizen over the age of 16 can be vaccinated at the health center or at the nearest centralized vaccination point.
Vaccination is also open for children +12 years old with immune system problems, with a doctor’s recommendation.
MSHMS appeals to citizens who have passed 6 months from the second dose of vaccine, to go to health centers or centralized vaccination points, to be vaccinated with the third boosting dose.
AntiCOVID vaccines reduce the chance of infection and greatly avoid hospitalizations and fatalities.
The Ministry of Health reminds the citizens that the observance of anticovid protocols is a necessity for the protection of health.
Mask placement is mandatory in any enclosed environment. Avoid crowds and ventilate your premises to limit the spread of Covid-19.
If you suspect that you are affected by COVID19 or have signs of the disease, isolate yourself immediately and contact your family doctor to be tested as soon as possible or call the National Emergency on the unique number 127.
