The Mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj received the Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Esmeralda Kromidha, with whom he signed a cooperation agreement for the performance of student internships at the municipality.
Veliaj said that the Municipality of Tirana will be an open door for students, especially this year when Tirana holds the title “European Youth Capital”.
“We want the Municipality of Tirana to be another integration opportunity for students. Many of them come from other cities. Tirana is still developing. We would like, having at the side of the Municipality of Tirana, their integration in Tirana, today as students, tomorrow as professionals, then as family, then for a soft loan, then to get married on the terrace of the municipality , then for the baby check, and so on – to start this first station being students, involved in the practices of the Municipality of Tirana“, Said Veliaj.
The mayor said the agreement with the Faculty of Foreign Languages is a new opportunity for students.
“We open a new page and a new opportunity for our students. Students are definitely an asset to the school, but above all they are an asset to the city. I believe that the benefit, especially of the students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, who know how to communicate, who are much more in tune with world trends, are much more flexible to understand other cultures, are especially useful for the Municipality of Tirana, especially in this year when we will be the European Youth Capital“, Underlined Veliaj.
The Dean of the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Esmeralda Kromidha thanked the Municipality of Tirana for signing the agreement, which she considered very significant for the students.
“Very significant for the students of the Faculty of Foreign Languages to be followed in your initiatives for youth and mainly this year with Tirana, the European Capital of Youth. It is a pleasure to share our projects with them, cooperation projects in research projects, conferences, professional internships of students in order for our students to be truly at the center of the university, teaching, research, but also the community in which they live with their activity“, Concluded Kromidha.
