Italy- A convicted Albanian escaped from New Year’s Eve prison in Vercelli, Italy.
According to the ANSA agency, the fugitive is an Albanian convicted of robbery in various apartments and villas.
The cellmate, another Albanian, also tried to escape, but broke his arm while descending the rope.
Following the announcement of the escape, numerous police checkpoints were set up throughout Piedmont.
The investigation into the incident is being conducted by the Vercelli Police Station.
