After Grida Duma, the mayor of Tirana, Erion Veliaj, won today the trial with the PD deputy, Jorida Tabaku, who had sued him for defamation after the debates regarding the construction of the “Sami Frashëri” gymnasium.
The court has rejected the allegations of MP Tabaku and according to today’s decision, Veliaj did not slander her when she had previously stated that the attack made by the DP on the project for the construction of the school “Sami Frashëri” was orchestrated in order to impose a fine to the company that was building it.
Veliaj said at the time: “We have learned now: they do not object to anything without imposing a fine.”
When the work for the construction of the “Sami Frashëri” school started, Jorida Tabaku did not leave a single day without attacking the project. At that time, the news circulated in the media that Tabakut’s attacks were not in fact aimed at the project itself, but were aimed at imposing a fine on the company that was carrying out the works. In the same period with the accusations for the construction of “Sami Frashëri”, the media wrote that Tabaku owned a supervilla, in one of the most expensive resorts in Lalzi Bay. The strangest thing was the fact that the complex where the luxury villas of Tabak are part, was built exactly by the construction company that is reconstructing the gymnasium “Sami Frashëri”, the well-known company “StarTek shpk”.
It is about a two-storey villa in the complex “Vala Mar” in Lalzi Bay, in one of the most luxurious residential areas, where the richest people live in Albania, where it is said that the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, also owns a villa. . According to media reports, the villa has a yard, indoor parking, a huge veranda, two floors with several toilets, by the sea of Lalzi.
With a simple online search, in the National Business Registration Center, it was discovered that StarTek sh.pk, which has built “Vala Mar”, was also the company that is building the school “Sami Frashëri” in Tirana.
Meanwhile, the new school “Sami Frashëri” has been erected on the same land where the old school was and soon is expected to open its doors to welcome the new generation of students.
