The vote for the new Democratic Party leadership led by Sali Berisha was marred by the Democrats themselves who were the first to line up in the doctor’s rostrum.
The one who dared to speak publicly with voice and image was the newly elected member of the Presidency, Edith Harxhi, who cast strong shadows of doubt on the electoral process organized by the Re-established PD.
Edith Harxhi:The counting was open, but before the voting there was lobbying and vote orientation, some of which turned out to be winners with many votes. I’m happy to be the winner, but it was a clear vote that I did not lobby. I have a stalemate within myself because I think lobbying in that form as the result turned out at the very end, may have influenced the free vote. I do not have it for specific names. I do not have it for Ina specifically.
Ina Zhupa herself, who on January 8 was in front of the rostrum, but with her elections in the Presidency made the official transition from Basha’s camp to Berisha’s camp, publicly distanced herself from the accusations of manipulation.
Ina Zhupa: As for my difference you have forgotten an important date within January and June which is the date March, where most are. I had no reason to believe there was lobbying or orientation for me.
The one who has been talking about lobbying and vote orientation for two days is the unannounced ambassador of Donald Trump near the rostrum. Evi Kokalari named her accusations: Belind Këllic, a member of the Presidency who managed to collect many votes, leaving Flamur Noka behind in this race. The latter one of the names with potential for Secretary General of the Democratic Party.
But the orientation of the vote does not seem to have happened only to the members of the Presidency. Belind Kellici is accused of using the same scheme for the members of the new National Council. As evidence was published a list of numbers that allegedly circulated in the Assembly on April 30. After the crossword puzzles with numbers it was discovered that names are hidden, most of the young people of the youth forum.
All this is happening on the eve of the elections that are expected to take place on the weekends for the two new vice-presidents of the party and the general secretary. The big enigma will be solved after the revelation of Berisha’s candidates for the number two of the party, but the whole scheme seems to have a purpose: to remove the vote of the one who poses a risk of victory.
