To date, 5 editions of “Colors of Albania” have been organized by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, as well as a similar edition has been organized in Kosovo.
This is the first year that the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs of Albania and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora of Kosovo organize this competition entitled “Colors of Albanians” or “Colors of Albanians”.
This competition was launched on November 26 in the framework of the meeting of the two governments of Albania and Kosovo, while it returns after a year of separation due to the pandemic.
The novelty of this edition is the even more active involvement of the Diaspora, so this year’s campaign aims to reach a wider audience, not only in Albanian lands, but also in all countries where the diaspora lives and works, to promote a common sense of Albanian identity and our European belonging.
The competition works quite simply: everyone with a phone or camera, is invited to capture a moment from everyday life, travel, a moment from personal life as a resident or visitor in Albania and Kosovo and post this photo / video on the social platform Instagram #ColoursofAlbanians the official account of this competition, using the hashtag # ColorsofAlbanians2022 and the tag @ColoursofAlbanians.
The collection of photos and videos at the end of the competition passes to the jury composed of seven famous personalities of art and photography from Albania, Kosovo and the Diaspora who select the 50 best photos and videos of 2022 and announce the 6 winning photos and videos in a closing ceremony.
The jury consists of Elina Duni, Fadil Berisha, Arian Mavriqi, Alban Nimani, Andi Deliana, Ilir Kaso, Dardan Luta.
The closing ceremony will be held on February 17 in Kosovo and the photos will finally be summarized and published in an album, which will be distributed worldwide through the diplomatic missions of the foreign service of Albania and Kosovo.
Colors of Albanians aims to promote the cultural heritage of our countries transformed on the road to EU integration, strengthen the national brand and improve the image of Albania and Kosovo around the world and strengthen relations between the diaspora and the country of origin and promote national identity .
