A gun incident was recorded around 20.05 on Friday evening in the center of Athens.
According to the Greek police, three people had a banal quarrel between them in the place called “Attica Square”.
Initially the parties clashed verbally and subsequently one of them pulled out a pistol and shot the victim in the leg.
In a panic, the perpetrators boarded a taxi and, after traveling about 1 km, abandoned it outside the central train station in Athens, leaving behind the weapon of the crime.
The victim was taken to hospital out of danger for life, while dozens of law enforcement arrived within minutes at the scene.
The altercation between the parties is suspected to have been about broken drug deals, as the victim has been arrested several times for crimes related to drug trafficking and theft.
Numerous police forces launched an operation to find the perpetrators in the streets of the neighborhood, but until late in the evening it was not possible to arrest the perpetrators.
