Citizens have more complaints about judges than prosecutors.
This is shown by the list of 4500 requests submitted to ILD in which citizens claim violations by the people of justice and for this they request an investigation.
Two years after the establishment of ILD, it is estimated that 21 judges and prosecutors were investigated by ILD that were closed with measures from dismissal to public reprimands.
According to the High Inspector of Justice, Artur Metani, citizens mostly complain about the judges of Tirana, Vlora, Durres and Fier.
With a justice that freed the strong despite being sentenced to life, the ILD sent for dismissal judges like Enkelejda Hoxha or Markelian Kuqo, while another in Elbasan continues to be under investigation. Far from criminal cases, however, citizens’ complaints relate to civil property and state cases.
But conceived as the most important institution of reform, ILD continues to function with only 8 inspectors out of 26 provided by law.
I do not want to think that the work is done and with eight, people are doing it because they want to serve the citizens but this is not the right quota.
