Chiellini decides to say goodbye to the Italian representative

The defender, who will celebrate his 38th birthday in August, announced that he has decided to close it with Italy, but left open the possibility to continue with Juventus.

“I think we have a lot of talented young men who can do well with the national team jersey and we old ones should leave it to them. “I hope to be at ‘Wembley’ for the match against Argentina in June, because that is where I want to close my chapter with Italy”, declared the Italian defender.

Chiellini’s contract with Juventus expires at the end of this season, however the defender left open the possibility of renewal, as he said that he wants to continue with the football played.

“As far as my football career is concerned, at the end of the season I will make the necessary assessments with the leaders of Juve and we will decide. “If the physique will allow me, then I can still go on, however it is a decision that will come soon”, said Chiellini.
