Chelsea goalkeeper Kepa has gone back in time attacking the style of football used by Frank Lampard in his time as Blues coach. The 27-year-old goalkeeper has made the difference between Tuchel and Lampard by hinting that he is not a fan of the English football philosophy.
In an interview given to Marca the Spanish goalkeeper stated: We came from a game not so organized with Lampard, while with Tuchel, we are back in control. “It is true that in the Premier League we were not close to the first two teams, but in other competitions we were very competitive.”
The legendary former midfielder was named at Stamford Bridge in the 2019-2020 season. Despite doing a good job securing a place in the Champions League, next season did not go as it should, as Chelsea dropped to ninth place in the Premier League and Lampard stepped down as coach.

The former Athletic Bilbao goalkeeper in the last two seasons has not been the German’s favorite as a starter as Edouard Mendy has been selected before him. He has played a total of 11 games in the last two Premier League seasons and in the Lampard era during the 2019-2020 season he played 33 games in the Premier League.
