The Traffic Police Sector at the Local Police Directorate of Gjirokastra, have increased the controls for the prevention of road accidents, identification and punishment of drivers who violate traffic rules.
Controls performed in urban and rural axes of the county.
During the last week, in the district of Gjirokastra, no driver was identified who was driving illegally and no road accident with consequences for life.
A total of 401 administrative measures were imposed during the past week, divided as follows:
26 measures for not wearing a seat belt;
2 measures for speed above the allowed norm;
160 measures for incorrect parking;
150 measures for wrong overtaking;
63 measures for violation of other rules of the Road Code.
2 vehicles were also blocked.
Gjirokastra Traffic Police thanks the drivers and pedestrians who respect the traffic rules and invites all citizens to report to 112 and the Digital Commissariat, any case of traffic violations, guaranteeing a quick and impartial response.
