A 49-year-old man identified as MT, a Turkish citizen was arrested at the Qafe Thana border crossing transporting four illegal immigrants.
During the control in the vehicle type “Daf”, driven by him, were found the emigrants who had paid a sum of 4000 Euros per person, to cross to Europe.
The police operation codenamed “Perimeter” made possible the arrest in flagrante delicto of the 49-year-old.
He is charged with “Assistance in illegal border crossing”, while the materials were forwarded to the Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of First Instance Pogradec, for further investigation.
