Catholics celebrated this Sunday Easter, the most important holiday of the Christian calendar, the Resurrection of Christ.
The Holy Mass at noon in the Cathedral of “St. Paul” in the capital, gathered dozens of Christian believers.
The Easter celebrations started on Saturday evening, where after two years under the pandemic, the holy mass of Easter Vigil was held for the first time.
From the holy masses this year there was a special prayer for Ukraine. Harmony and peace throughout the world, was the message that was conveyed to all believers everywhere in the world, at a time when the globe is troubled quite a bit by war.
Christian believers have celebrated all over Albania with the wishes to be closer to God and a year full of hope.
