Canada has announced that it will impose new sanctions on Russia, according to a statement by Canadian Foreign Minister Melanie Joly.
The measures will provide for a ban on the export of 28 services, including accounting and advertising needed for the operation of Russia’s oil, gas and chemical industries.
In a statement, Joly said the Russian occupation of Ukraine has lasted over 100 days. At the time, Vladimir Putin and his regime caused untold pain and suffering in Ukraine and around the world.
“We will continue to pursue relentlessly the responsibility for Vladimir Putin’s pointless struggle. “Canada will do everything in its power to prevent Putin from being able to feed and finance his war machine.”
