Some Krutans, immigrants for years, were forced to return to their country to protest near the Cadastre doors.
In the period 2007-2011 in a 15-storey building in Kruja they say that they bought the apartments from a builder, but most of the apartments have been resold. In the midst of this conflict, the Cadastre intervenes which adds even more chaos and conflict. In December 2020, the Kruja cadastre legalized the building to the second builder who had repurchased it.
The state cadastre agency then annuls its decision and penalizes the person in charge of legalizations in Kruja.
The case goes to court but the second builder wins the case. Representatives of the construction company accuse the cadastre of interfering to distribute property unfairly as they have no contract with the protesting residents. For this reason the legal battle continues at other levels of the judiciary.
