The war in Ukraine day by day is giving its negative impacts in every country of the world, even in a distant country like Albania.
Farmers of the Shirgjan administrative unit in Elbasan have been exporting their agricultural products to Ukraine for many years.
This country has been key in getting agricultural products of this area, but it seems that in recent days farmers are facing, not only the reduction of demand for exports to Ukraine, but also a sharp drop in the price of products. This, according to them, could lead to the remaining stock of all agricultural products.
Every year the agricultural area of Elbasan exported to Ukraine more than 5 thousand tons of Brussels sprouts. If we then add here other agricultural products such as pumpkin, peppers or tomatoes, the damage to this area is very large.
