Investigations into the tragedy in Bulgaria, in which 45 Albanians from northern Macedonia lost their lives in the blaze after the bus they were traveling in collided, have not yet been completed.
However, the Bulgarian media report some preliminary data which show that at the time of the accident, the vehicle was at high speed.
The head of the Bulgarian National Investigation Service, Borislav Sarafov, recalled that most passenger buses have their limits.
“Investigations are in the final stage. We are also waiting for the results of three examinations, they will probably be ready before Christmas. The bus was next to the sidewalk. There are two categories of speed allowed and suitable. We have an idea for the speed, but will wait to see what the car experts say. The speed is quite unstable, 90 kilometers per hour are exceeded“, Said Sarafov.
