The President of France, Emmanuel Macron, has stated today that every European country should stop the import of coal and oil from Russia for at least a week, in the form of sanctions for the serious event that Russia carried out in Bucha where dozens of civilians were found killed.
Macron said he is very clear that what happened in Bucha was a war crime and it is more than clear that the Russian military is responsible for this whole event.
“We can not let this thing slip. We must definitely impose sanctions in order to punish what happened in Bucha and what is happening in Maripol. Russia must be held accountable for all these crimes it is committing in Ukraine and we must send a clear signal that this is our collective dignity and that we must protect it at all costs. There is no peace without justice “- said Macron.
France has said it is ready to help Ukraine investigate the incident in Bucha, although Macron declined to say whether Russian President Vladimir Putin should face trial for what happened there.
