After Will Smith’s despicable and somewhat artificial slap on presenter Chris Rock at the 2022 Oscars ceremony, debates on British social media increasingly focus on whether this would have happened if the ceremony had continued to be presented by legendary British comedian Ricky Gervais.

Responding to questions from the public, Gervais said that if he had been leading the ceremony, “nothing would have happened, I would not have joked with the woman’s hair, but with her boyfriend.
The comedian referred to the rumors about a relationship of 50-year-old Jada with a female singer, until Will admitted in September last year that he and his wife had an “open relationship”.
Gervais mocked the hair issue at the ceremony, reposting part of his comic series “The Office” where permndej disease.
