The British Ministry of Defense said today that Ukraine’s air defense had proved successful against modern Russian fighter jets.
In the latest intelligence update on the Russian occupation, the ministry said Ukraine had prevented Russia from achieving its intended air control.
“The war in the north-west of Kiev remains ongoing with Russian forces failing to make any significant progress,” the statement said.
The ministry also warned that the Ukrainian cities of Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Sumy and Mariupol remain surrounded by Russian forces and continue to suffer from attacks by Russian forces.
