“Both used pistols”, the police dissect the event in Kallmet of Lezha. Here are the charges against the local official and what was found at the scene

Following the investigative and operational actions carried out to clarify the circumstances of the event that occurred on 01.04.2022, in Kallmet of Lezha, where as a result of a conflict with firearms was injured the head of the Administrative Unit Kallmet, citizen BS, services of the Police, after several hours of searching, made possible the capture and arrest of the citizen AM, who at the time of capture was found to have been wounded with a firearm, for this reason he was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana.

As a result of in-depth investigative actions, it became possible to clarify the circumstances of the event, where it resulted that:
On 01.04.2022, around 13:15, in the village of Kallmet, Lezha, after a conflict for weak motives, the above-mentioned citizens fired pistols at each other and as a result the citizen was injured. BS, who after receiving first aid at the Lezha Regional Hospital, was transported to the Trauma Hospital in Tirana, where he is in serious condition, while the citizen AM immediately left the scene, hiding for several hours, until it was located and arrested by the Police services.

At the end of the actions, the citizens were arrested in flagrante delicto:
AM, 41 years old, resident in the village of Kallmet-Lezhë, suspected of the criminal offenses “Intentional Murder”, remaining in the attempt and “Illegal production and possession of weapons and ammunition”;

BS, 42 years old, resident in the village of Kallmet, Lezha, acting administrator of the Administrative Unit Kallmet, Lezha Municipality, suspected of attempted criminal offenses “Intentional Murder”, and attempted production and illegal possession of weapons and ammunition ”.

The following were seized as material evidence:
1 pistol firearm, with a comb with 6 bullets, which is suspected to have been used by the citizen AM, as well as two vehicles.
Work continues to find the other pistol weapon used during the conflict.
The procedural materials were forwarded to the Lezha Judicial District Prosecutor’s Office for further action.
