Severely released footage of U.S. police body cameras showed the tragic situation of confrontation with a man holding a cardboard cutter in his hand, on a Tennessy freeway, before the ten police officers present shot him to death.
37-year-old Landon Eastep was killed by officers during nearly 20-minute negotiations to persuade him to drop the object, police said.
The published images show the last moments of Eastep, who does not listen to the prayers of the officers and then takes an object out of his pocket and addresses them.
A Tennessee traffic cop had found Eastep sitting on the freeway last Friday afternoon.
Eastep had then pulled the small cutter out of his pocket as the officer and other reinforcements attempted to calm him down.
But Eastep disobeyed police suggestions and in the final moments pulled another larger object out of his pocket that was not a firearm, authorities said.
The man was tragically shot to death in the incident being investigated by the FBI branch in Tennessee.
