US Secretary of State Antony Blinken says there will be new sanctions and non-issuance of visas to the US for corrupt officials and former officials.
He says there will be 11 current and former corrupt officials facing sanctions.
“On International Anti-Corruption Day, the United States is imposing sanctions and visa restrictions on 11 current and former corrupt officials. “Together, we can fight corruption and promote accountability and good governance.” writes Blinken on twitter.
The day before, the US Treasury Department targeted the corruption networks of several European countries, including Zvonko Veselinovic and his organized crime group.
Zvonko Veselinovic, as head of the organized crime group, is one of Kosovo’s most notorious corrupt figures.
