Bird flu was confirmed this Tuesday in the Prespa area.
Three pelicans have been found dead on Lake Prespa on the Albanian side.
The pelicans were found on Thursday (date 17), then sent for laboratory tests and then confirmed to be bird flu.
A few days ago it was the Agency for Preservation and Protection of the Environment which announced that the bird flu has been active in Lake Prespa on the Greek side, and apparently the flu has already affected the birds in the local territory.
On the Greek side over 570 pelicans have died and an operation has been carried out to collect them.
