US President Joe Biden said Russian President Vladimir Putin thought he could split NATO allies over the war in Ukraine.
“I’m sure Vladimir Putin was counting on dividing NATO, to divide the east side from the west, to be able to divide nations based on past histories,” Biden said.
“But he could not do that – we all stood together.
He added that history has shown the importance of the US not standing aside during the conflict in Europe.
