The President of the United States of America, Joe Biden today announced a new program which will allow Ukrainian refugees to live temporarily in the US.
The program, called “Unite for Ukraine,” will allow Ukrainians assisted by Americans to live in the United States for up to two years, but he said that would not affect citizenship.
A similar scheme was used by the United Kingdom which allowed the British to open their homes to Ukrainians fleeing the war.
So far over five million Ukrainians have fled the war with Russia, entering mainly Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and Romania.
