Democratic Party MP Kreshnik Çollaku on Monday was sued for defamation by the Re-establishment Commission.
In a statement to the media, the Commission clarifies that in the debates held behind closed doors in the blue headquarters, on January 11 and 12, a few days after the January 8 protest, the PD MP stated that former Prime Minister Sali Berisha is supported by Russian influences and the Orthodox Church.
The statements of the Democratic MP, according to the Commission, were intentional and defamatory.
They consider his statements, taking into account the situation in which the Democratic Party is, as too serious and that promote tension within this political force, causing religious differences in its membership.
