In a press conference, Basha stressed on Wednesday that vetting politicians is just a tool to fight corruption and links to crime. He said that through vetting, politicians come out openly as thieves and embezzlers of public funds.
“When America makes the fight against corruption its top priority because it undermines the national interest, what about us here? Where have a handful of people robbed everything? Where government ministers launder money and rob public funds“, Said Basha.
According to him, the DP will continue to strongly denounce corrupt affairs, which it considered galloping.
Basha said that he is aware that there has been corruption in the PD government as well, but this political force is now determined to move forward, with the aim of breaking away from its bad past.
