Kosovo, the region and the tense situation between Ukraine and Russia, were part of the discussion of the chairman of the Democratic Party, Lulzim Basha, in the Political Assembly of the European People’s Party.
Regarding the situation in Ukraine, Mr. Basha stressed that the Democratic Party fully supports the efforts of the EU and the US for a diplomatic solution.
“We must stand side by side in our Euro-Atlantic alliance in the face of this dangerous challenge not only for Ukraine itself, but also for Europe and beyond,” Basha said, adding that: “War should never be an option, so it remains the duty of political leaders to use all diplomatic means and put aside the threats of war.”
