The State Police, since yesterday, has been on standby to come to the aid of residents in case of floods that may be caused as a result of bad weather.
Based on the situation created as a result of bad weather with rain and snow in our country, where in some areas there are rivers overflowing and in mountainous areas there are difficulties in circulation due to snow, the General Director of Police of State Gledis Nano, since yesterday, has ordered the passage of police structures throughout the country, for the flood situation.
A steering group has been set up at the General Directorate of State Police to manage information and coordinate actions with field services. The steering group is chaired by the Director of the Public Safety Department at the State Police.
In all counties, Police services are engaged in assisting residents, in areas where assistance has been sought and in support of Civil Emergencies, to enable clearing of roads from snow or falling rocks and landslides.
Groups of FNSH and Delta Force were sent to Fier and Vlora, together with search and rescue equipment.
Assistant area specialists are in constant contact with the administrators of the administrative units and the mayors of the villages, for timely response, in case of need for assistance.
In all road axes, the Traffic Police has increased its presence, to guide and assist drivers who have difficulty in traffic due to the presence of water on the road or snow in remote areas.
General Patrols throughout the territory are on uninterrupted patrol and ready to come to the aid of citizens, in case of need.
