The strong salary increase came from companies in the field of “Financial and insurance activities” and those of “Information and Communication” which include technology and telecommunications companies.
In contrast to financial companies whose wages are twice as high as the national average, in the agricultural sector wages are 40% lower, indicating that the level of wage inequality in the country continues to deepen.
Meanwhile, in the state administration, the average salary has reached 70 thousand ALL, while in the private sector 54 thousand ALL.
In the country, the highest paid profession continues to be that of MPs and senior state officials, followed by specialists with higher education according to official statistics.

The unemployment rate in the country continues to remain in double digits at 11.4%, without recovering from the shock given by the pandemic, but still comes down from the high level of 11.9% at the beginning of the year.
Alarming is the fact that employment in agriculture has decreased by 5.3% compared to a year ago, while it has increased in the industry and services sector.
According to statistics, almost 60% of the active force is employed, while according to figures from the employment office there are 25 thousand vacancies, which are not being filled by the domestic market. A key factor for this is emigration.
