12 people were injured after a gun attack on a shopping mall in Columbia, South Carolina, while three people were arrested by police for the incident.
The incident took place on the premises of the Columbiana Center shopping center, said area police chief William Holbrook.
Holbrook said three gunmen were arrested by police, though it is not clear how many people were shot.
He said police believe the shooting was not an accidental attack.
“We believe that the individuals who were armed knew each other and there was a kind of conflict between them that resulted in gunshots. So this was not a situation where we had a random person who showed up at a mall to attack with a firearm and injure people“.
Of the injured, 10 received gunshot wounds, including a 73-year-old man and a 15-year-old girl. All the injured are said to be out of danger for life.
