Gunshots were fired last night in the center of Athens, where an Albanian was injured.
Greek media suggest that he is being treated at the Red Cross Hospital while it remains unclear how he was hit. After this event, two immigrants got into a taxi and under the threat of a gun forced the driver to take them to Larissa station, where they left, leaving a gun inside the vehicle.
Police are trying to get a statement from the taxi driver, who suffered a panic attack and is unable to explain exactly what happened, nor how the weapon was found inside the vehicle.
Yesterday, top channel reported that the parties clashed verbally and subsequently one of them pulled out a pistol and shot him in the leg.
It is suspected that the quarrel between the parties was over broken drug deals, as the Albanian has been arrested several times for crimes related to drug trafficking and theft.
Numerous police forces launched an operation to find the perpetrators in the streets of the neighborhood, but until late in the evening it was not possible to arrest the perpetrators.
