A group of students of the University of Tirana this Tuesday have called with a megaphone the students of the Faculty of Social Sciences to join the citizens’ protest at 17:00, in front of the Prime Minister, for the reduction of the price of fuel and food products.
“Prices affect us the most and affect our families and reflect even more on our standard of living. So we call on you all to talk to each other, to mobilize and to join the big civil protest at 17:00“, Is heard from the call of students.
Despite the call of a certain group of students, teaching in the faculties of Tirana has not been boycotted, except for some classes, where some students of the Faculty of Social Sciences have called on students with megaphones to gather at 16:00, to march on back to the protest, with the desire to bring back once again the 2018 protests.
The citizens of Tirana gathered for the sixth day in a row in front of the Prime Minister’s Office at noon on March 14.
Unlike other times, the protesters have revealed some new demands for the Prime Minister of Albania, Edi Rama.
The first concerns the abolition of the turnover tax on oil, the second the temporary suspension of the excise tax on fuels and the third consists of the adoption of a law on the subsistence minimum.
For this, they have also set a deadline for completion.
The deadline will be until the end of the week, March 18.
