Top Channel has learned that 22-year-old Joan Mucllari, who was wounded with a bullet in the leg and a wound from a knife in the neck, cooperated with the police. The young man said that on Monday evening he was driving his car when he confronted Firdeus Berber, with whom he had had conflicts before and they were cursed with words.
They then reunited a few minutes later and were physically conflicted where the quarrel degenerated into the use of weapons. The 22-year-old has identified the attackers as Firdeus Berber and Griseld Maxheri and his testimony matched the footage of security cameras. Based on the evidence, the police declared the suspected perpetrators wanted and handcuffed 5 of their friends who turned out to have helped the perpetrators leave the scene after abandoning their car.
They are charged with failure to report a crime, actions that hinder the discovery of the truth and support of the perpetrators. The conflict between Joan Muçllari and the family of Firdeus Berber has started since 2019 and since then there have been several criminal events such as car burning, threats, attack with firearms towards the hotel “Voloreka” and recently injuries.
For this reason, the Police Protection Agency has launched an investigation into the actions of the Pogradec police to see if they have complied with the law.
