A woman was horrified by her manager’s response when she asked for permission to work as she had to visit her sister who was dying in hospital.
According to foreign media, Hillary Zinks, who works as a makeup artist, had had a nightmare call last month where it was reported that her sister had been hospitalized.
So, on the way to the hospital in Las Vegas, she called her employers to notify them of the emergency situation.
The woman was doing another job as a waitress at a local restaurant, but received mixed reactions from chefs when she asked for a break.
Hillary said in an already viral video of TikTok that her film industry boss was very understanding.
However, the response was quite the opposite when she notified the restaurant chef.
She read the text message from her manager, which said: “I understand and I feel sorry for what you are experiencing. But I’m curious to know why you are notifying me two hours before your shift? ”
The manager also left a very depressing message to Hillary explaining how she expected her employees to show up at work.
“I was angry and upset about this during the rest of the trip.”, said Hillary.
“The closer I got to the hospital, the more I realized that her behavior was absolutely unacceptable and I could no longer work with her.”
And shortly before she left the waitress job, she sent her manager a picture of her holding her sister by the hand, pointing to her middle finger as well.
A few days after the horrific interaction, Hillary got a call from the restaurant and was told that her old boss was no longer working there.
