The media in Kosovo have flooded with information regarding the three people arrested on suspicion of organizing the attack on the bus in Gllogjan, where the driver and two students were killed.
It is learned that Halil Mehmetaj and his two sons, Kreshnik and Malsor Mehmetaj, ended up in handcuffs.
Citing prosecution sources, the local press says that the person who opened fire is suspected to be Malsori, a young graduate of the University “Haxhi Zeka” in Peja, and that moreover, since April 24, 2018 had begun to worked in the Basic Court of this city.
But now there is no data on where he worked in Gjakova.
The authorities themselves have not made public the names of the detainees, only the initials HM, KM and MM
According to them, only the driver, Gani Gjokaj, could have been the target of the attack, but two students were also killed in the shooting.
Media reports indicate that Gjokaj may have been the cause of the suicide of Mehmetaj’s sisters’s heroine, Heroina, who in June 2020 ended her desperate life by hanging on a rope.
Heroin had been studying at the Faculty of Law at the Public University of Peja, with an excellent average.
At that time it was only said that she had hanged herself, but the reason and the extreme gesture of the 20-year-old girl were not revealed.
Family members meanwhile insist that Halil and his sons are innocent.
According to them, there are many witnesses who can confirm how Halili and Malsori were in other places when the incident happened, while the other brother was at home after an operation.
