10 thousand square meters of land by the sea in Saranda should have been state property but it is suspected that they were alienated and turned into a construction site.
Based on this fact, the Saranda Prosecutor’s Office has launched an investigation in the finalization of which 10 arrest warrants were issued for officials of the municipality, Cadastre and businessmen who had divided state land between them.
Suspected of abuse of office and alienation of property was arrested Pandi Zhonga, director of Urbanism in the Municipality of Saranda together with the lawyer of the State Cadastre Agency, Rovena Alikaj. Involved in this alienation scheme was also the notary Aleko Anagnostini who was also arrested. Investigations revealed that the state land positioned by the sea in the area called the Çuka canal in Ksamil through forgery of documents was divided into other persons who then used it for construction.
