An activist who has carried out such awareness climbs in the past was arrested at the top of the Salesforce tower in San Francisco on Tuesday evening.
The man was arrested for illegally climbing on the facade of the building, in what was intended to be an anti-abortion protest.
The activist had expressed his opposition to abortion, two days after the unexpected publication of confidential documents of the US Supreme Court where, among other things, it is said that the legalization of abortion was expected until one day after birth.
The man who calls himself “Spider-man pro-life”, was arrested after the images were published on social networks, where he was seen climbing the skyscraper without security tools.
At 60 feet and more than 300 feet high, the Salesforce tower is the tallest in Mississippi and the 17th tallest in the United States.
Published document online in ‘illegal’ form has sparked widespread protests in the US, outside the high court in Washington DC as well as in cities such as Nashville, Dallas, New York City and New Orleans.
Critics accuse the release of the documents of a government maneuver to ‘manipulate the public’ ahead of the midterm elections in the US.
