The Ambassador of Ukraine in Tirana Volodymyr Shkurov spoke in front of the media, calling on everyone to take part in the protest in front of the Russian Embassy the next day at 17:00.
Shkurov called on Russian diplomats to express their stance condemning the war. Although Ukraine is equipped with weapons, he says they still have needs. As for the withdrawal of Russia from Swift, Shkurov said there is a change of attitude for the countries that were against.
“People in Ukraine are being massively equipped with weapons. You are a witness to how the people of different countries are supporting Ukraine. If until yesterday, countries like Italy, France and Cyprus were against Swift’s secession, the president has just received a confirmation of the change of attitude. To date, 198 people have lost their lives, including 3 children. The Russian side has lost 14 planes, 8 helicopters, 200 soldiers are wounded, 3500 soldiers are killed.
I call on Russian diplomats to express their position condemning the war. Ukraine is equipped with weapons but there is a need for additional assistance. I thank the Albanian people for their uncompromising support. “Tomorrow at 17:00 a protest will be held in front of the Russian embassy”, said Shkurov.
