Following the discussions held the day before in the European Commission for the issuance of a Covid passport for vaccination, our country will now have such an electronic document.
Prime Minister Edi Rama in the next conference focusing on the digital revolution said that this passport will be offered online on the e-Albania platform and will be a necessity in case foreign countries decide to make it a criterion for travel.
Such a proposal was made by Greece, which sent it to the European level to get approval to use the digital passport after two doses of vaccination.
Rama: “Health today continues to be transformed in this aspect as there are a series of processes that until yesterday took place today are done online since the registration of the family doctor and in the prescriptions that are offered online. “Thanks to the digital revolution, we have a system that guarantees transparency and we have the digital vaccination passport, preparing for the cases when vaccination becomes a condition for travel abroad.”
Asked when the mass vaccination will start en masse, the head of government did not give an exact date, while he confirmed that those affected by Covid will not be able to vote on April 25 if they are not negative.
Rama: “It is about providing a quantity of doses to guarantee a mass vaccination campaign, as long as this amount of doses is not in Albania, we will soon have the opportunity to breathe quite freely and start a mass vaccination and we have a cheaper summer season. ”
In the previous days, over 15 thousand more doses of the anti-Covid vaccine from the Pfizer company arrived in the country. The vaccination process has currently started in the capital and in several other cities of the country where, in addition to white shirts, it is also being taken by the elderly.
