19 agreements were signed today from the eighth meeting of the two governments, Kosovo and Albania in Pristina.
The deepening of cooperation in key sectors of the economy as well as the facilitation of procedures for the citizens of the two countries were the main focus of these bilateral agreements.
The parties agreed on an agreement paving the way for customs union and trade facilitation between the countries.
Agreements were also signed for important projects in infrastructure and energy, focusing mainly on the development of the new Port of Durrës which is expected to have the Dry Port in Prishtina as well as the Prishtina-Durrës railway project.
The parties expressed their commitment by signing other agreements in the field of agriculture, tourism, health, education and public safety, whether in the exchange of information or experiences between the two countries in these sectors.
The parties have signed about 127 agreements during government meetings over the years, but so far only 65 of them are being implemented.
The signing of new memoranda of cooperation comes in the wake of efforts to further facilitate the lives of citizens between countries.
